Just Like In the Movies, is a dark comedy that follows the depraved lives of Joe, and his best friend Gloria. They live a life of drinking, dreaming and petty crime. After a series of unfortunate events, including many abortions, Joe’s abuse at the hands of a neighbor and his brief stint in prison......Gloria lands a meal ticket and goes straight, leaving Joe spiraling downward.
Narrated by the frantic voice of Joe, the action follows the day when Gloria comes to meet Joe for lunch to say her goodbyes. During that day, Joe remembers their short, yet tumultuous life together, and must himself come to terms with getting by alone.
